Homemade Chicken Goujons with Parmesan and Black Pepper

It’s been a while since I made Chicken Goujons, but seeing as I’m back on the cooking bandwagon I thought I’d dust off this classic recipe and add an Italian cheese edge.

So here’s the recipe for Chicken Goujons with Parmesan and Black Pepper.

2 chicken breasts
2 eggs
2 slices of bread
Black Pepper

1. Set the oven to preheat to 200 degrees. Thinly slice the chicken, before blending 2 slices of bread (white or brown, it matters not) and cracking and whisking 2 eggs in a bowl.

2. Spread the flour and bread in seperate plates Before dipping the chicken in the egg before shaking off the excess and rolling in the flour.

3. Then roll the chicken in breadcrumbs.

4. Place the chicken in a lightly oiled roasting dish and repeat. Till all the chicken is laid out.

5. Grind some black pepper over the top and grate on some Parmesan.

6. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes.

Serve with whatever you choose. I went with broad beans, green beans and asparagus before adding dipping sauces of ketchup, mayo and sweet chilli! Bonza!
